Anastasia graduated from Smith College in 2001 with a degree in Neuroscience. After a few years in Neurophysiology research at NYU, Anastasia broke from that path and made the move to alternative medicine. Attending Acupuncture school in NYC marked a time of soul satifying learning. She received her Master of Acupuncture and started her practice in 2005.
Now after 2 decades it has become clear that each stage of education was an essential foundation of the next. Art high school encouraged self directed and independent work, taught critique and discussion skills and gave space to the art flowing from within. As a project, she began study in Aromatherapy.
Smith gave community and a sensation of belonging, training in discussions, exploring writings and art, as well as the hard science of physiology, physics, maths and Neuroscience.
Through personal experience Anastasia was profoundly impacted by the effectiveness of Acupuncture. Where standard American medical practices had not resolved, nay, even addressed the issues depressing quality of a, then, Young Life! Acupuncture nailed it. First treatment, her pain changed and was driven out fast! Each issue that had been unsatisfied by conventional medicine found compassion and understanding with Acupuncturists and then Resolution!
TSCA…Anastasia graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 2005 with a Masters of Acupuncture. She is a Ceritified Reiki practitioner in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition (2nd degree).
Pre-Boston: She ran a private practice in Manhattan for 7 years working with weekend warriors, average stressed folks and triathletes and provided home visits for children in the Hasidic Community in Brooklyn.
After a Decade in NYC, Anastasia needed a life overhaul and moved to Boston in 2013. She works in both Back Bay,m and Somerville and makes home visits to her patients following surgery and other challenges.
